Online Education in the United States is Growing

Babson Survey Research Group and the College Board, have surveyed academic leaders concerning online education. More than 2,500 academic leaders completed the survey. The results are presented in a report, “Going the Distance: Online Education in the United States, 2011.”


This report reflects that at least one-third of students are now taking at least one online course. It also reports that there has been a 10% increase in online enrollment compared to the 2% in higher education student enrollment.
