Thomas Friedman, the author of The World is Flat and co-author of That Used to Be Us has written an OP-ED in the New York Times that shares his views of the future of education. This article highlights the major re-engineering institutions of higher education are going to have to undergo in order to provide a quality education that is accessible, financially competitive, and leads the student to viable employment.

Additionally, this article Harvard and M.I.T. Team Up to Offer Free Online Courses supports the observations of Mr. Friedmen.
