Universities Expanding their Online Presence

The following 2 articles provide some insight to many of the changes in education that Jeff Jarvis and Tom Friedman. These articles reflect the exploding changes in the access to various courses online from various universities’ curriculum and other online education provides such as Coursera, Udacity, Khan Academy, etc. for college students to receive knowledge in general education and elective courses.

Although these courses currently are not associated with earning course credit, many institutions are exploring how they can assess a student’s learning from these free courses, and be able to assess credit for the course. I am directing students to CourseraUdacityKhan Academy to prepare for taking DSST and CLEP tests.
