A Perspective: MOOCs

Dr. Bernard Luskin shares his observations of how MOOCs have and are evolving and how students, faculty, and insitutions may find opportunity in the global reach of MOOCs. As Dr. Luskin comments in his article for Psychology Today, “Casting the NET Over Global MOOCS,” “My reason for sharing this perspective and bit of history is show the diverse number of initiatives that emerged and to give context in support of the idea of the MOOC as a basis for answering frequently asked questions about the nature of MOOCs.” This article provides the answers to frequently asked questions such as:

1. What is a MOOC course worth, both in terms of credit and money?
2. Who owns what when it comes to MOOCs?
3. How do MOOCs fit into the changing shape of higher education?
4. What is the future of the MOOC?

Dr. Luskin provides his perspectives as an educator who examines psychology through media and how people learn.
